Can the UPSC aspirant allow to change the exam center?
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is going to be activating the link for the 2020 Civil Services preliminary examination and Indian Forest Services, from today, July 7, in order that the applicants can change their exam center.
This is the primary time that this feature was given, as many candidates had requested the Commission for a choice to change their centers, due to many disturbances caused by the recent COVID-19 lockdown.
The option to vary the exam center for the exam participants are going to be wiped out two phases only. the primary phase is going to be open and active from today until July 13 and therefore the second phase from July 20 to July 24.
The candidates are advised to go to the website and submit their choices of centers of the above examination if required,” the statement said.
You can change your exam center after the links get activated on the official website, upsc.gov.in, or on upsconline.nic.in.
Both the exams, Civil Services preliminary examination and Indian Forest Services, are scheduled to be conducted on October 4, 2020. UPSC has also informed on Dominion Day that the request is going to be considered on a first-come-first-serve basis only.
Candidates who don't get a center of their choice thanks to the complete capacity being over, can choose between the available exam centers only.
“The candidates may please note that their requests for change within the center are going to be considered supported the principle of ‘first-apply-first-allot’ basis (which is followed altogether the examinations of the Commission and was mentioned within the examination notices of the Civil Services (preliminary) examination, 2020 and Indian Forest Service examination, 2020) and once the capacity of a specific center is attained, an equivalent are going to be frozen,” the Commission said.
Moreover, the candidates also will get another chance to withdraw their applications from the Civil Services and IFS examinations. The link to withdraw the applications are going to be active from Lammas to Transfiguration only.
